Wedding Updates

So like finally I am so happy to be doing this wedding updates coz after so much ding dong ding dong we have finalize some of the crucial aspect of the wedding and since I know how hard it is to be planning a wedding I am so glad and happy to share with you future wedding couples on what to expect.
Disclaimer: I am no wedding planner nor am I associated with any wedding company but I am good at planning an events so why not share my headache with you. :)

The "Wedding Updates" will definitely features topic per topic basis so that it doesn't become like a huge rojak...... but first we will start off with "Wedding Date/s"

Like any other couple Wedding Date/s are one of the first few aspects that you need to seriously consider and you definitely need to stick to the dates and don't keep changing it, coz let me tell you the whole arrangement will be a nightmare, you don't want "ding dong ding dong".

Why THE DATE is important?! coz it's a date where both become 1 al! AND for you to stick to with your finances meaning you wont keep delaying the date just becoz you forget to save up for that month, also it is your target to work on, wedding date would be nice to fall on fanciful dates but rather look at the rationality of the date (this must be based on situation basis), a date must be achievable with your finances and lastly the date must be agreeable with both parties. Seriously the date is a factor directly to your finances, believe me I know this unless money is abundance for you then go ahead with your preferred selection "wonderful date"

When you decided to plan the date, let me emphasize it has to be "rational", "realistic", "achievable" and "good timing"

Here are the list of things you need to consider:

• Your savings - are you able to meet the date and money, coz alot of money are require to secure venue, decor, caterer, bridal and kadi/Justice of peace (solemner) so planning ahead with give you buffer.
• Date would be nice to be memorable for you and your partner, not becoz the feng shui master said so (coz this dude don't guarantee your future) and date which both can agree upon with both parents, this can be sticky situation but have faiths and it will work out.
• Weather, yes! if you are planning an outdoor wedding this is one of the factor that will effect the dates too. Skip monsoon season especially end of the year where rain just keep pouring and flash flood around SG. Crucial!!
• Avoid the holiday seasons coz every things else will be expensive! Seriously this is just a way for them to make money but this is also the time every thing else is expensive, even take taxi also expensive so remember, Crucial!
• For Muslims couple, we have a few months that we definitely need to avoid and also majority of malay/muslim caterer will not operate too. Bear that in mind.
• Venue are crucial too sometimes dates are move due to the availability of venue, I guess void decks are safe enough to secure but other than that you really got to go and find out more, cost wise will play a big factor too. Check your budget!

But these are basically what we had to consider when picking the date, even thou the date is not the preferred date but at least this one big hurdle did settle and decision are stick to it through out.

All this information are basically based on my opinion and experience but if there would to be a better consideration do share it with me, would love to hear it.
