Top Favorite Products of 2013 (Makeup Products)

I know it's never too late for this since we are well in the Mid Jan of 2014 but I want to share with you what are the awesome beauty products that I have been loving in 2013. Coz 2013 was just awesome for me, for the first time in my life my skin wasn't as oily due to the pregnancy and my skin was looking better as ever. I do hope the skin remain the same in 2014 (cross fingers) but nonetheless 2013 have served me well.

Let's take a look at the makeup products that bags into 2013 top favorites.

Face:
Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm - I wish this product gets more hype, some people mentioned that is not what they expect as for me I used as a face primer which gives you that optical blurring effect and making your foundation flawless. This isn't just my opinion only, recently my sister try it too and she loves the flawless finish on the foundation. Best part this product suits with most foundation such as MUFE, Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous, Revlon and Rimmel.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation (6.0) - I had to add this in just simply because it goes best with the UD Naked Skin Beauty Balm. This foundation seems to top all the foundation that I have tried. Coverage is medium to high, build able, wide range of shades to choose, longevity last me more than 8 hours and definitely don't break me out. Click HERE for in depth review.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation (Soft Honey) - This is my everyday foundation which I like to apply lightly since it have good coverage and I don't need so much concealer this foundation is such a staple for quick-and-go foundation. Don't need alot of effort with blending. Staying power can last me through out the whole day, like the flawless finish but the down side not easily available in Singapore. Bobbi Brown Corrector (Dark Peach) - I think I talk about this corrector often, this was like something I have been looking for to neutralize the dark under eye circles without making it look weird or ashy. Check out my previous blog post for details on this. Click HERE for in depth review.

MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer (NC25) - I think the hype around this concealer is definitely worth it. So far this concealer DOES NOT crease under my eyes and it stays put and give me great coverage. Check out my previous blog post for details on this. Click HERE for in depth review.

Ben Nye Luxury Powder (Banana) - This was a little tricky at first but having to learn the ability of this powder and placing at strategic places on your face and under the eyes. It helps to make your face more awake and without feeling heavy or cakey to the skin. Check out my previous blog post for details on this. Click HERE for in depth review.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (Transparent) - I have purchase this powder many times over and over again and I still see myself using it still in future. Yes I use this for all over face powder to set my foundation and it leaves my skin staying matte through out the day. It's affordable and effective! Click HERE for in depth review.

Cheeks:
NARS Bronzer (Laguna) - I really don't like looking at a flat face after putting on foundation or BB Cream, I do make this effort to put on some bronzer all the time and my most favorite is NARS Bronzer in shade Laguna (if you are darker than my skin tone please try the shade Casino) anyway Laguna is perfect shade for me it does not look muddy on my skin, at times I use it to for contouring too. Bronzers are great if you want to have more define face shape and also to give some glow to your skin without looking dull. Click HERE for in depth review.

Milani Baked Blush (Luminoso) - If you haven't heard about Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, where have you been?? hahaha This is another product that is worth the type. The peachy pink shade is just nice for any skin tone, it gives such a nice flush on the cheeks. It's not easily available in Singapore but you can get it from www.summerinlove.net go check them out! Click HERE for in depth review.

Lips:
MAC Lipsticks (Plumful - Luster) - This is one of my most favorite lipsticks from MAC, just simply it's does not dry up my lips, favorite mauve shade and love the luster finish on my lips. I keep going back to this lipstick all the time. I highly recommend this for any skin tone which a great every day color.

Revlon Lip Butter (Sugar Plum) - I guess mauve shade lipsticks are such an in thing for me in 2013 don't you noticed it? but for a drugstore lipsticks I always love my lip butters I have a gazilion of them and never can get enough of them. Easy to apply, hydrates the lips and they are affordable.

Milani ColorStatement Lipsticks (Mauve) - This lipstick is definitely a must have! Milani makes such nice lipsticks. In this line there are so many shades for you to choose from but it seems that my favorite shade is Mauve.

Eye Lashes:
Maybelline the Rocket Volum' Express Mascara - Initially I thought this mascara was so over hyped and when I try it I was like mehhh. But but after trying it again for the 2nd time I felt that my short stubborn lashes looks better with 2 or more coats of this mascara for that voluminousness and full lashes and this definitely is the most current go-to mascara.

essence Volume Boost Mascara (Waterproof) - This is a cheap and good product, like if you are on a budget and really need a mascara that gives you volume and length this is definitely a mascara to go for. I think this only cost about SGD5 at Watson's. Worth the try!

Eye Brows:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (Brunette) - I don't know how many times over have I been raving about this and just so you know I love this Brow Wiz and as of now I don't think I can live without it. Holy grail product for me..... If you are into defining and shaping the brows this is the product for you. Comes with the spooly at the end makes it so easy to spread the product around. Its pricey but to me it's worth it.

Eye shadow:
Urban Decay NAKED2 Palette - 2013, I didn't really wear much of crazy colors and because half of the year I was pregnant and for awhile I didn't really bother about putting eye shadow but each time when I am in the mood to put on some I keep reaching out to the NAKED2 palette. Cool neutral shades for me are just easier.

MAC Riri Hearts Mac Eye shadow Quad (Her Cocoa) - When I am feeling a little fancy I reach out to this quad, it has some frosted and shimmery shades. I don't know why I always get drawn in with MAC limited edition eye shadows most of the time. But when choosing eye shadow in a quad make my decision much easier.

Brushes & Sponge:
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - If you are into Beauty Blender, you will definitely love this sponge coz this is definitely a dupe for Beauty Blender. Yet it is softer, cheaper and easier to maintain than BB. Can you believe that?! When I found out about it I get super excited and know that this will save my $ than having to replace the BB after 2-3 months of usage.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush (Core Collection) - One of the most durable foundation brush I have used so far is definitely this Buffing Brush. It never fails to leave my foundation looking natural without that streaking lines.

MAC Blending / Eye Shadow Brush (No. 217) - Out of the many eye shadow brushes, this 217 is must have for me. The shape of the brush just makes it easier to apply and blending. When I travel this usually becomes the only eye shadow brush I bring with me. I am sure you have heard of this brush many times over.

Real Techniques Setting Brush - This is also another brush that helps me sets the concealer for my under eyes and conceal areas on my face. Using the Ben Nye Banana Powder and using this brush to set with will not move the concealer.

Hope you enjoy this blog post on all the favorite products which I have been loving last year. At the same time I hope this will help you decide on which product to try and hopefully land into YOUR favorite too.

See you in the next blog entry.

P.s: I have a few product reviews coming your way soon.
